Market redevelopment surveys completed by local residents have been submitted for analysis.
County Coun. Ian Brown handed over the surveys, which express the views of Ribble Valley folk on how the market should be transformed to consultation firm Infusion.
Coun. Brown said: “We have held two public meetings in Clitheroe – the first in Low Moor and Edisford chaired by Coun. Sue Hind and a second at Trinity Church, chaired by myself.
“As members of the working group appointed by Ribble Valley Borough Council, we thought it’s important to gauge public opinion and lots of people have filled in our survey, which I felt should be given to Infusion.
“We have agreed that we would ask Infusion if they could take into account anything in our survey that doesn’t come out of the official council consultation exercise, which begins on Monday (November 7th). It is the most important development in Clitheroe for generations and local views are vital to make sure what is built is a credit to the town.”
