LOW MOOR: Ribble Valley walk in the sunshine

Club NEWS - Low Moor Club’s pool B team lost 7-6 to Kings Arms in the Cup. The A team got a bye to the next round. Ladies’ darts team one is Diane Ryan, Dawn Stephenson and Maureen Brown. Team two is Dawn Hodds, Alma Haydock, Doris Clark. These will take part in the Trebles Competition at the Rose and Crown.

Snooker - In the Lancashire small tables semi-finals competition Low Moor will play Nelson in Blackpool on May 10th. The coach leaves the club at 6-15 p.m. (cost £12). There are still places available to support the boys.

Bonus ball winners were J. Grundy and D. Clark.

The previous week the ladies’ darts team of Low Moor Club lost 6-3 to the Catholic Social Club team. In the pool match Low Moor A team won 10-2 against the Kings Arms. The B team also won 8-4 against the Buck Inn.

FAMILY WALK - On a beautiful spring morning 28 walkers from Low Moor Club enjoyed the views around the Ribble Valley from the top of Wiswell hill. These walks are becoming more popular for introducing families to the beauties of the countryside.

EGG HUNT - Members thanked Gill and Becka Shears for organising a children’s Easter party including egg painting and an egg hunt.
