In this latest video from Ribble Valley Movie Makers, we see essential work being carried out on the wall of the River Calder at Whalley
John Whipp, from Whalley, captured the work carried out by Lancashire County Council and its partners between June and December 2012 to safeguard the integrity of the bridge crossing the river.
John’s film was the winner in its category in the Ribble Valley Movie Makers’ 2013 competition.

The friendly group meets on the first and third Thursday of the month during September to May and fortnightly during June to August at the Pendle Club, Lowergate, Clitheroe.
During the summer months, members take the opportunity to get outside to film local events or make their own movies. Last year’s filming included the 1940s Weekend at Leyburn; a visit to Chipping Wild Boar Park; rebuilding of Clitheroe Parish Church steeple and Ribble Valley Jazz Festival.
