An awards ceremony was held at Accrington and Rossendale College where special prizes and certificates were handed out to the cadets for their hard work and dedication.

In attendance were Supt Julian Platt, Chief Insp. Ian Sewart, Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw, the Mayor of Hyndburn, Munsif Dad and college principle, Sue Taylor, who presented the awards.

A spokesman said: “It was a wonderful evening for all. Cadets received certificates, Junior and Senior Cadet of the Year and Junior and Senior Volunteer of the Year Awards. In addition, 20 cadets received their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award.”
