Ribble Valley-based children’s charity Child Action Northwest is repeating its successful bargain curtain sale next month as a fringe event at the Ribble Valley Jazz Festival.

The fund-raising team is coming to St Mary’s Parish Hall, Clitheroe, with their big “jazzy curtain” sale when hundreds of pounds worth of slight seconds John Lewis textiles will be sold for between £10 and £20 a pair, and just £1 for cushion covers.

Clitheroe-based fund-raiser Harriet
Roberts said: “There are more than three cages of beautiful textiles that have been generously donated by Darwen manufacturer Herbert Parkinson, a John Lewis company. Some of these curtains are simply stunning and worth £30 a square metre. The curtains come in standard drop sizes with a variety of finishes, including pencil pleats and tab tops, and there are single pieces of fabric which would make great materials for hobby sewers who like to make their own home-furnishings.”

The event takes place on Saturday, May 3rd ,between 11 am and 3 pm and volunteers will be running a pop-up tea room and raffle.
