Police recover stolen van
A Ford Transit van which was reported as having been stolen from the Sabden area has now been recovered.
During the early hours of Thursday, a Ford Transit van made off from a patrol in the Burnley area. Other patrols were alerted and the same van was seen a couple of hours later in the Read/Simonstone area. The van was eventually stopped in Great Harwood. Two men onboard the van made off from the vehicle, but were detained a short time later.
The van, which had been reported stolen overnight Wednesday, was found to have false plates.
The two men detained from the van were interviewed then charged. The driver of the stolen van was charged with several offences.
