Where there’s a will there’s a donation
Irene Chenery and Carol Maher present East Lancs Hospice event fundraiser Denise Gee with a cheque for 1,250 which was raised during Will Week.
WILL power has raised £1,250 for the East Lancashire Hospice thanks to a Clitheroe law firm.
Chenery Maher Solicitors, of Church Street, took part in the East Lancashire Hospice Will Week. People in the Ribble Valley were invited to make their Will during the week in which participating solicitors gave their time free, with a donation instead to the hospice.
Fund-raiser Denise Gee said: “The Will Week raised more than £5,000 to help us to continue to care for our patients, but we couldn’t have done this without the support of our participating solicitors.
“We are thrilled that Chenery and Maher have been involved with the East Lancashire Hospice Will Week since it started three years ago and each year it is going from strength to strength.
“It costs in excess of £8,000 each day to make a difference to our patients and their families at a time when they need it, so we would like to take this opportunity to thank Chenery and Maher Solicitors and all those who took part.”
