Stolen Rimington quad bike gets stuck in mud

THIEVES were thwarted trying to steal a quad bike from a farm at Rimington when it got stuck in the mud.

They used bolt cutters to take the padlock off the barn door and wheeled the Honda Fourtrax into a field, where it got to stuck in the mud and they had to abandon it.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area between March 14th and 16th is asked to contact police on 101.
