Police search for missing man in Ribchester

A POLICE search was in full force last night in the Ribble Valley to find a 72-year-old man missing from home.

Dozens of officers helped search for the man who is missing from his home at Goosnargh near Preston. An underwater search team searched the River Ribble in the village of Ribchester assisted by the police helicopter which illuminated the water during the search.

A spokeswoman for Lancashire Police said: “We are very worried about him and obviously very concerned for his safety.”
