Police advise Burnley FC fans to arrive early for Leeds United match
POLICE are advising Burnley fans to arrive in good time ahead of their match against Leeds on Tuesday night.
A bumper crowd is expected at Turf Moor for the 7-45pm Championship clash with a large following of visiting supporters from Yorkshire attending the game.
Match commander Chief Insp. Jon Bullas, from Burnley police, said, “With a big crowd expected it should be a really good atmosphere inside Turf Moor and we want people to enjoy the game.
“We would anticipate traffic being heavy in the area and car parks being busy, so we would advise people to allow that little bit of extra time as they don’t want to miss kick off.
“Supporters should also not give criminals the chance to pounce and make sure they leave their cars locked and secure and valuable items off show.
“There will be full policing operation in place with the main aim being to ensure the safety of those attending and involved in the game.
Anyone who is thinking or causing trouble should be warned that they will be dealt with, as we will not allow a minority to spoil it for those who want to enjoy the match.”
