Land Rover warning over thefts across Ribble Valley

editorial image

THIEVES have targeted Land Rover Defenders in a series of incidents in the Ribble Valley.

A green Defender, PJ07USF, worth about £13,000, was taken from the car park of the Buck inn, Paythorne, between 9.15 and 10.30 p.m. on Monday, and another green Defender, N826AEJ, worth about £5,000, went from outside a private house in Tosside.

In a garage break-in at Bolton-by-Bowland, thieves stole a spare wheel, front wing and clutch, all for a Defender, along with assorted tools.

Police have warned owners to be on the lookout, and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.
