RIBBLE Valley’s four high schools have again joined forces to organise a major careers event for Year 9 and 10 pupils and their parents.

Named “BRAG About Your Career” – combining the four schools’names as Bowland, Ribblesdale, Augustine’s and Grammar – this year’s event takes place at The Grand, in Clitheroe, on Monday January 28th, from 4 to 7 p.m.

The event has two key aims. Firstly, it helps Year 9 pupils to obtain information and guidance with regard to their GCSE choices. Secondly, Year 10 pupils can gain impartial careers information to help them make well-informed and realistic decisions about their futures beyond school, whether in further education or employment.

Year 11 pupils who are still uncertain of their destination beyopnd school are also welcome to go along.

The BRAG event provides an opportunity for pupils and parents to find out information regarding courses, subject choices, entry requirements and employment opportunities from the many exhibitors. These include sixth forms, colleges and local training providers, all enabling pupils to achieve their individual career aspirations.

For more information regarding this year’s BRAG careers event contact Julia Billington at Ribblesdale School 01200 422563 or Helen Dakin at Bowland School 01200 449869.
