Concert to help families cope with eating disorders

A GROUP of pupils from Ribblesdale High School Technology College, Clitheroe, got together to beat eating disorders.

Year 11 pupil Heidi Walker, with 15 friends and fellow pupils, took centre stage and performed pieces including hit songs by jazz singer Amy Winehouse and American rock band "The White Stripes" during a charity concert to raise money for BEAT – an organisation that helps young people and their families affected by eating disorders.

The event raised 270 and dozens of people attended to watch the pupils performing. Donations are still being collected. Anyone wishing to contribute can do so by calling the school on 01200 422563.
