Clitheroe pupils take a trip to Myerscough vets in Clitheroe

pupils enjoyed a trip to the vets as part of their work on being responsible pet owners.

Some of the Year One children took their class “puppies” Ben and Fluffy for a health check at Myerscough Vets. The veterinary nurse checked the puppies’ heart rates, before giving them their vaccinations and microchips.

The pupils have been taking it in turns to take the puppies home and fill in a “healthy pet care” chart.

Wendy from the Blue Cross animal charity visited school with her dog Gracie Mae to meet the children and answer their questions.
