Clitheroe’s RNLI branch needs you!

Clitheroe’s branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is looking for more local people to get involved with raising funds and having fun.

The RNLI is a charity operating a professional 24-hour search and rescue service around the coast of the UK and Ireland. Its Clitheroe Branch raises funds for this lifesaving charity by holding a range of events each year. These are organised by a group of local volunteers who take pleasure in helping to save lives at sea while, at the same time, meeting new people and having lots of fun along the way.

The current branch chairman is stepping down and as a result there is an opening for somebody new to head up the Clitheroe Branch. If you enjoy getting together with likeminded people and have some leadership qualities this role might suit you.

If chairing the branch is not for you, it is also looking for a Branch Secretary with great communication skills to support the work of the branch, and is always on the lookout for more hands-on volunteers to help with the fund-raising. Everybody is welcome, even those who only want to volunteer occasionally.

For further details on how you can support this brilliant charity, call 07500 608222 or log onto www.rnli.org.uk/volroles
