Clitheroe coffee shop flooded

Breaking News

A BURST pipe at Clitheroe’s The Emporium caused extensive damage to its interiors shop today (Wednesday).

The small pipe burst in the kitchen at some point during the night flooding the Moor Lane coffee shop, wine bar and brasserie and its interior design shop downstairs.

General manager Carol Sleet said: “As soon as we came in this morning, we did everything we could to get the restaurant back up and running.

“The only area not open is the shop which is going to be redecorated over the next couple of days.”

She added: “I would like to thank all the staff who answered my rally call at 6-30 a.m. this morning and worked non stop for three to four hours to clear it up.”

Miss Sleet was keen to stress that The Emporium is open as usual apart from the interior design shop and to clarify the situation after posts were made on the social networking site Facebook that The Emporium had been flooded.
