Children at Edisford Primary School have been presented with high-visibility vests by local development builder Barratt Homes.

The vests were donated to the primary school as part of an initiative set up by Barratt to help keep local children safe when walking to and from school, and on trips, as part of Road Safety Week.

Graeme Gibb, sales manager at Ribble Meadow, said: “Now the clocks have gone back it is more difficult for motorists to see pedestrians in the dark mornings and nights.

“We want to help school children to stay safe when out walking by offering high-visibility vests so they can be clearly seen by motorists.”
