A Clitheroe business presented a charity that helps older people stay active, independent and able to continue to contribute to society with a cheque for £250.

Hanson’s Cement Human Resources and Operations Assistant Janet Horne presented the cheque to John Clarke, the Royal Voluntary Service volunteer at Hanson’s Clitheroe plant.

Jane Warman, who worked for the Home Library Service at RVS was pledged the donation when she dropped off some literature about the RVS at Hanson Cement.

The RVS is one of the largest volunteer organisations in the country. Its 35,000 volunteers provide practical and emotional help to older people where and when it’s needed.
