Eight friends who attend the same Clitheroe gym completed the notorious Tough Mudder run and obstacle event in memory of fellow gym member Dr Mick
Barsby, who lost his battle with pancreatic cancer in 2013.

Neil Kenyon, Hayley Knowles, Gill Hayes, Angela Kaine, Elizabeth Campbell, Paul Kenyon, Gemma Coyne and Andrew Cretney raised in excess of £500 for PCUK by taking part in the North West 2014 event, held at the Cholmondeley Castle estate in Cheshire last weekend.

PCUK has been supported by the gym and many of it’s members, along with Mick’s football team mates and friends in the form of sponsored events and Crossfit’s 2014 naked calendar, which sold over 1,500 copies.

Featuring many of the gym’s members, the naughty-but-nice calendar was put together by Mick’s wife, Sue, together with friend and photographer Zoie Carter-Ingham.

Neil Kenyon, speaking on behalf of Crossfit Clitheroe’s Tough Mudder team, said: “We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience and it was great to raise a good sum for PCUK at the same time.”
