TWO sisters are taking part in the Great North Run next month in memory of their dad Fred Booth.

Kathryn Booth and Debbie Kean have taken up the challenge to raise funds for Bowel Cancer UK by completing the world’s biggest half marathon next month.

Joining the siblings on their 13.1-mile journey in the North East will be family friends Faith and John Bennett.

The quartet are running in memory of former police officer and sports enthusiast Mr Fred Booth who died in March.

Anyone who wants to sponsor the sisters can either visit their justgiving page www.justgiving.com/fredbooth or donate offline via 39 Peel Park Avenue.
