bowling fans raised cash for sick children when they competed in Sabden.

The Alan and Anita Whalley Open Doubles bowling competition made £600 for Derian House, and the cash has now been handed over to the children’s hospice.

Organisers said they wanted to thank everyone who had supported the event, particularly the sponsors: Bertwistle’s Funeral Service, Bailey & Garrett (Chemists), Hair by Hayley, Alan and Anita Whalley, Alan Dewhurst and Richard Newmark.
