A SCENE from a television advertisement was almost recreated when a Ribble Valley gym owner and instructor took delivery of her latest equipment.

Manufacturers Reebok, in partnership with fitness program CrossFit, delivered a six tonne. 20 foot long shipping container to Hayley Knowle’s Reebok Crossfit Spectrum gym on Fairfield Business Park, Clayton-le-Dale.

A television commercial for Reebok CrossFit shows a similar scene, but with the extra element of helicopters lowering branded shipping containers around the world. The stunt is part of a global campaign called “The Sport of Fitness Has Arrived”.

Gym owner Hayley (23), of Chipping, moved her business from Backridge Farm, Waddington, to the larger premises at Clayton-le-Dale in order to become an official CrossFit affiliate. She held a recent open day to celebrate the relocation offering clients two workouts at the new gym.

As well as being a CrossFit instructor, Hayley is also an athlete for CrossFit. She was ranked in CrossFit athletic’s top 10 in Europe during 2011 and this year won CrossFit’s Manchester games.

A former pupil of Waddington and West Bradford Primary School and Ribblesdale High School, Hayley briefly went into property sales after leaving school before being introduced to CrossFit by Chris Templeman, who owns CrossFit, Clitheroe.
