They say life begins at 40 but the very busy one of Longridge vicar the Rev. David Anderson continued with a 40th birthday fundraiser.
He organised a walk and afternoon tea in aid of The Alzheimer’s Society and was joined by, appropriately, about 40 parishioners for the walk – he is pictured here at the front – and then a further 20 for the tea.
He said: “I decided to arrange the event as a great way to mark my 40th birthday. I was delighted with the response and thank everyone who came, donated and baked for the event. I’d also like to say thank you for all the birthday cards, presents and good wishes.”
More than £500 was raised for the national charity.
