CrossFit Clitheroe to host major tour

CrossFit Clitheroe is to host Rob Orlando’s European Strongman Tour 2012 - a unique event showcasing one of the fastest growing fitness movements in the world.

Just over 18 months ago, the space at Primrose Mill in Clitheroe was little more than rusty, abandoned former engine rooms for a Victorian cotton mill.

But it is now home to one of the top training facilities in the country, established alongside CrossFit gymnasiums in the major cities of the world.

Now on Friday, March 23rd and Saturday the 24th, CrossFit Clitheroe will host the first leg of Orlando’s European Strongman Tour.

One of the top CrossFitters in the world, the gym is honoured that Orlando has chosen CrossFit Clitheroe as the starting point of his tour, which will take him through affiliates in Brussells, Antwerp, Amsterdam, Wiesbaden and Nurnberg.

CrossFit Clitheroe last year played host to some of the biggest names in CrossFit, for a two-day business seminar hosted by Real Biz Europe and attended by CrossFit gym owners from around the world.

It was at this successful event that CrossFit Clitheroe co-owners Chris Templeman and Tony Cross were introduced to Orlando.

The potential for a partnership was immediately clear to Tony, who is determined to make the gym’s mark in the teaching of CrossFit and Strongman throughout the UK and Europe.
