Clitheroe boy (14) ‘critical’ in hospital after collapse

A TEENAGER remains in hospital after collapsing in Wellgate, Clitheroe, while on his way to the doctors.

Police say the 14-year-old boy was accompanied by his mother when he collapsed on Monday. Emergency services were called and he was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital where his condition is described as “stable, but critical”.

Det. Sgt Nigel Watson, of Clitheroe CID, confirmed the incident, which happened around 6 p.m. on Monday. He said: “The boy had a medical complaint and was on his way to the doctors with his mother when he collapsed.”
