You’re never too young to start fund-raiing... just ask six-year-old Lucy Rawson.

Lucy, who lives in Salesbury, wanted to help the patients of East Lancashire Hospice and came up with the idea of making beaded mats which she gave to friends and family in return for a donation. Now, thanks to her crafty efforts, she has proudly presented £33 to hospice fund-raising manager Sharon Crymble.

“When Lucy’s parents called to say that Lucy had raised the money for our patients and had come up with a plan to do it, we were thrilled to meet her,” said Sharon.

“Every single penny counts towards hospice care and its great to know that someone as young as Lucy wants to help and has taken the time to do it. If you want to get involved and fund-raise to help to make a difference, please call our fund-raising team on 01254 733412.”
