£300 was raised for brain cancer after a local lady went for the chop for charity.

Biba Haywood went all out for the good cause, chopping off her pride and joy waist-length hair.

Biba is embracing her new image after her hair was cut for the challenge by Amanda Egan of Amanda Eastwood Hairdressing on Moor Lane in Clitheroe. All money raised will go to her friend Jay Lynchehaun’s charity Inbetweenears, which he set up with his mum Sharon Hacking to support young people also battling the disease after being diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.

Another worthwhile cause will also benefit from Biba’s efforts as she has also donated her hair to children’s cancer charity The Princess Trust, who make wigs for children going through chemotherapy.

To donate to the Inbetweenears charity, text EARS13 followed by the amount you wish to donate to 70070, or fill in the sponsorship form at Amanda Eastwood Hairdressing. To find out more about The Little Princess Trust visit: www.littleprincesses.org.uk
