The North West Air Ambulance crew attended an incident in the vicinity of Clitheroe Castle on Friday, involving a teenage boy who had fallen from a tree.

The boy, who sustained suspected back and arm injuries, was flown by the air ambulance, which landed on the castle field, to the Manchester Children’s Hospital for treatment, after he was initially attended by a land ambulance crew at the scene. His condition was assessed and assistance from the air ambulance requested.

The incident happened at around 2-45 pm on Friday afternoon on the castle grounds near to the Brown Cow Inn and the junction of Moore Lane and Woone Lane.
