SHOPPERS smiled when fund-raising teenager Hannah Marynissen offered to ‘high five’ them in a charity stunt.
Hannah, 16, from Rimington, was in Clitheroe town centre raising sponsor money in a youth summer programme called The Challenge, which encourages 15 and 16-year-olds to tackle challenges and develop their skills and talents.
Hannah, a pupil at Clitheroe Royal Grammar School, was raising cash for the Brook Centre at Burnley, which provides confidential advice on sexual health for under-25s.
“I heard about The Challenge at school and it seemed an interesting thing to do,” said Hannah.
“I’ve had a good response in the town centre, although not everyone knew what a high five was.”
