Clitheroe’s Town Mayor, Coun. Valerie Cooper, and her predecessor, Coun. Kevin Horkin, presented cheques to several local organisations in the Mayor’s Parlour.

The donations were from the proceeds of fund-raising carried out in 2013/14 during Coun. Horkin’s year as Mayor.

Those benefiting from this round of funding were: Castle Supported Living, Ribblesdale Wanderers Cricket and Bowling Club, Neave Charlotte Dent (a pupil at Clitheroe Royal Grammar School), Clitheroe Chamber of Trade and Commerce, Diabetes UK - Ribble Valley Voluntary Group, and Clitheroe Cricket Club.
