A fund-raising page has been set up to support those affected by the Boxing Day floods.

The Whalley and District Lions Group has set up the page to help those in Whalley and Billington whose properties were flooded.

The Lions will be at Whalley Village Hall today between 10am and 4pm and still need cleaning products, dehumidifiers, household items, white goods and cardboard boxes.

The group has respectfully asked for no more donations of bleach, toys, clothes or bedding, however, DVDs are welcome especially for older children.

Volunteers are still needed between noon and 4pm today but will be welcome from 10am. Residents from Whalley and Billington are welcome to come for a chat and something to eat and drink.

Billington and Whalley Brass Band Club is open from about 10am for any further supplies or lunch.

Nigel Evans MP will also be holding a special surgery for those affected by the flooding. This will take place in Whalley Village Hall from 11am and people are invited to come along, whatever the issue.

The fund-raising page can be found here.
