Members of Clitheroe Bike Club enjoyed superb early Autumn weather on their recent weekend tour.

A group of 20 cyclists rode over the Trough of Bowland road for lunch in Lancaster, before continuing up Morecambe Bay to Arnside. After an overnight stay at the Youth Hostel in Arnside, the group returned via Bleasdale Fell, enjoying a lunch break at Scorton on the way.

Clitheroe Bike Club hosts weekly rides and regular cycling events. New members from all cycling disciplines are welcome. For more information visit the club’s website (www.clitheroebikeclub.co.uk) or call Richard Paige on 07976312529.

The Club has recently been awarded funding via the Lancashire County Council Healthy Streets initiative to purchase a number of road bikes for trial loan. If you have an interest in taking up cycling and want to have a taster session before investing in your own bike, contact the club.
