The project was organised by staff at Tesco in Clitheroe who held a competition to see which school could collect the most items and the winners were St James Church of England Primary.

Delighted youngsters at the school in Greenacre Street were presented with a £20 voucher and the Tesco spring/summer trophy for their tremendous efforts that will help many families. The school also held a summer fair that raised £800 and was supported by Tesco which donated some wholesome foods to help encourage healthy eating.
