Pupils from Ribblesdale High School, Clitheroe, paid a visit to the town’s Sainsbury’s store to present manager Howard Morton with a cheque for £3,300.

That was the amount which the school raised this year for Sport Relief, of which Sainsbury’s is the key sponsor. The local store played a big part in the school’s effort, donating a hamper of goodies worth £75 and giving a much-needed helping hand with staff organising and taking part in the day of events itself.

Lauren Colbert, from Year 11, was given the honour of handing over the cheque, as she was the pupil who raised the most money.
