Pupils from Ash and Willow classes at Clitheroe’s St James’s CE Primary School wore their most colourful clothes as they took part in an activity day based on Joseph and his multi-coloured coat.

The day was organised by teaching assistants Miss Youngs and Mrs Brewer to conclude their religious education topic. The children took part in a morning of activities including dance, decorating “Joseph biscuits” and various art and craft activities.

The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the day, particularly preparing and eating the colourful fruit salad, with fruit kindly donated by Sainsbury’s supermarket.

The children ended the day by watching the film version of “Joseph”. The best part of the day for Arthur, from Ash class, was painting the “Joseph coats”. These have now been made into a colourful display within the school infant library.
