A Sports and Exercise Science student from the Ribble Valley has been given Myerscough College’s Outstanding Student of the Year Award.

Tonicha Moorby (18) of Clitheroe will follow her dream of becoming a high school PE teacher by starting a BA Honours degree in physical education and school sports at Edgehill University.

Tonicha took on extra credits which topped up her college course to a level 3 extended diploma, and achieved the highest grades possible. She was also awarded the distinguished Outstanding Student of the Year Award. In addition to her two part time jobs, Tonicha is the trampolining Lancashire and North West Champion.
