Mum and baby specialist Hilary Percival is back at work in the Ribble Valley after a teaching trip to Russia.
Hilary, a senior partner at Kendal House Clinics, was invited to the Russian Academy of Osteopathic Medicine in St Petersburg to teach paediatric osteopathy to range of undergraduates and qualified medical practitioners at the prestigious academy due to her extensive knowledge and experience of the subject.
She has been practising osteopathy for children for over 25 years based at clinics in Clitheroe and Longridge.
Hilary said, “It was an amazing experience to teach such a large range of students including surgeons, neurologists and doctors. There is a real thirst for knowledge and desire from the whole medical community in Russia to supplement their skills and osteopathy is one of the areas they are keen to learn more about.”
While in St Petersburg, Hilary enjoyed visiting some of the city’s amazing buildings as well as a VIP trip to the ballet. She has been invited back to Russia and hope to be teaching there later in the year.
Hilary and her husband Robin have been working in Clitheroe at the Chatburn Road clinic for more than 25 years and also have a clinic in Longridge.
