Imagine a huge inflatable PVC ball bouncing down a hill, with a school pupil inside it. Well, young thrill seekers at a rural primary school have been doing exactly that!
Pupils from Barrow Primary School have been experiencing bodyzorbing as part of their after-school activities.
Headteacher Mrs Christine Marchi said: “Bodyzorbing is fun and Adam Lakeland and his company, Pro Sports Coaching, introduced the new sport to the junior children during the after-school club.
“The children were given a demonstration and safety instructions and then went on to play Bodyzorb Football, Bodyzorb Sumo and other games.”
She added: “We are always interested in promoting new and stimulating activities, which will engage children in their learning. Bodyzorbing is ideal because it’s a fun way for the children to exercise and keep healthy and they obviously love it.”
