Ribble ‘flasher’ shock for woman jogger

Police are hunting a man who indecently exposed himself to a woman who was jogging with her two dogs along the River Ribble at Kenyon Lane, Dinckley, around 9am on Monday.

The 31-year-old woman from Blackburn had been followed at a close distance by a man and witnessed him pulling his shorts down and exposing himself.

I am determined to find this man and so I would urge anyone who may have seen him or seen anyone matching his description in the area that morning to get in touch.

He was white, aged between 40 and 50, stockily built, and may have been driving a small white van.

PC Aled Jones-Roberts, of Blackburn Police, said: “This was a very disturbing incident for the woman, who was simply out running.

“I would like to reassure the public that while incidents of this type are rare, we have stepped up patrols in the area.

“I am determined to find this man and so I would urge anyone who may have seen him or seen anyone matching his description in the area that morning to get in touch. If you know who he is, please call us at your earliest opportunity.”
