Police are appealing for information after a spate of Ribble Valley pub break-ins on the same night.

The Coach and Horses at Bolton-by-Bowland was broken into overnight between last Thursday May 8th and Friday the 9th and £1,150 in cash was stolen. Entry was gained by forcing a door.

On the same night The Copy Nook Hotel, just out of the village, was targeted. The £250 till was taken from the bar area and later found discarded minus the drawer nearby. Damage valued at £50 was caused to a window.

In nearby Paythorne, The Buck Inn was broken into between 3-50 and 3-55am on Friday May 9th, but offenders were disturbed when the alarm activated. Damage estimated at £250 was caused to a cellar door.

Tools were also stolen from a workshop in Bow Hills Lane, Paythorne, again in the same time period, and police are linking all four incidents.

Anybody with any information on these crimes should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
