Police appeal after vehicles worth £50,000 stolen in Barrow burglary

Police have appealed for information after two cars worth almost £50,000 were stolen from the driveway of a Barrow house.

The burglary at the Whalley Road property took place between 6-45pm and 10-50pm on Saturday when entry was gained through a conservatory.

Police say a 62-plate black Volkswagen Passat worth £27,000 and a 62-registered black Volkswagen Golf valued at £20,000 were driven away by offenders after the keys were taken from inside the house.

Also stolen was various items of jewellery amounting to £850 including a gold ring, Pandora bracelet and two sets of earrings as well as $170 in cash.
