Pensioner taken to hospital after Clitheroe collision

Police and paramedics were called out to an elderly man who was in collision with a car midday today (Thursday).

The man, who is in his early 90s, is believed to have been crossing over from Clitheroe Health Centre on Railway View Road when the accident happened.

Police and paramedics were called with the man subsequently taken by ambulance to the Royal Blackburn Hospital with a minor head injury.

The incident happened around 11-45 am and part of Railway View Road was closed for about half an hour.
