Man left with fractured skull in Clitheroe take-away attack - police appeal

A 32-YEAR-OLD man suffered serious head injuries after being attacked in a take-away in Clitheroe.

Police said the man had been standing in a queue waiting for food at the Romero Pizza House in Wellgate when he was allegedly assaulted by another customer. The incident happened just before midnight on Friday, September 16th.

The victim suffered fractures to his skull and cheekbones and was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital. Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Anyone with information is urged to call Clitheroe Police on 443344 or the free and confidential Crimestoppers line on 0800 555111.
