The men’s public toilets in Clitheroe Castle grounds had to be closed after a blaze was started deliberately last Thursday evening, causing serious damage.

A group of about 20 youths stood by at the Wesleyan Row entrance and watched as Clitheroe fire crews tackled the blaze, and police made inquiries to try to find out who had started it.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
