Clitheroe teen set for trial following alleged assault

A Clitheroe teenager appeared before Pennine magistrates accused of a “one punch” nightclub attack said to have left his alleged victim unconscious.

Nathan Jeffries (18), of Whalley Road, is charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm on Roy Fielding on February 1st, at Clitheroe. A not guilty plea was indicated. The defendant’s trial will be heard at Burnley Crown Court at a later date.

The hearing was told the alleged victim was said to have been knocked to the floor and was unconscious for about 15 minutes after Jeffries was alleged to have struck him in the face.
