Clitheroe man to stand trial over boy (16) sex services claims

A CLITHEROE man has made a further appearance before Blackburn magistrates charged with offences involving the sexual services of a 16-year-old boy.

Roger Altham (56), of Chatburn Park Drive, was committed to stand trial at Preston Crown Court. The charges against him are that “between March 1st and May 15th 2010 at Clitheroe he intentionally obtained for himself the sexual services of a boy aged 16, who he did not reasonably believe was aged over 18, having previously promised to make payment to him for those services” and “on May 14th 2010 intentionally arranged or facilitated the prostitution of a child aged 16 who he did not reasonably believe was aged 18 or over”.
