Clitheroe Teen (14) attacked by gang

A TEENAGER suffered facial injuries after being attacked by a gang as he walked home on Friday night.

Police say the 14-year-old Clitheroe boy was walking through the grounds of Clitheroe Castle at 10-20 p.m. when he was targeted by the gang of four men in an unprovoked attack. The victim sustained bruising, grazing and swelling to his face.

Police investigations are continuing into the incident and CCTV footage is being examined. Sgt Graham Marshall of Clitheroe Police said he was keen to hear from witnesses. He commented: “The attack happened at 10-20 p.m. on Friday and we believe 4-5 offenders were involved.
