Clitheroe care agency rated ‘outstanding’

Celebrations were on the cards at a Clitheroe based care agency after it was rated as outstanding.

A report published by the Care Quality Commission said that Castle Supported Living Ltd provided outstanding care and support to people and was very responsive to their needs, wishes and preferences.

Inspectors said that the Moor Lane agency’s ethos of “people are at the centre of everything we do’’ was shown in numerous ways.

Staff were seen as being positive and understood and practised the values of the agency that provides personal care to people living in their own home and also gives flexible support to people with learning difficulties in the Ribble Valley.

Inspectors said that clients at the agency felt very safe using the service and they were actively encouraged to remain as independent as possible.

The report also stated that thorough risk assessments were carried out with people to ensure their safety while allowing them to maintain their independence and lead interesting and fulfilling lives.

Inspectors said that clients, their relatives and staff described the management and leadership of the service as exceptional and there was an effective and thorough quality assurance system in place.
