Church set to stage spectacular flower festival for Queen’s 90th birthday

A village is set to be blooming out all over in honour of the Queen’s 90th birthday.

St Bartholomew’s Church, Chipping, has organised a special flower festival, which will include 24 spectacular displays and a concert by Clitheroe Grand Choir, organist James Robinson and soloist Naomi Holland.

Led by professional local florist Ann Seed, the festival opens on Thursday, June 16th, 1pm to 6pm, 10am to 6pm on Friday and Saturday, June 17th and 18th and until 6pm on Sunday, June 19th. The concert is on the Friday and a closing service take place on Sunday at 6-30pm.

Visitors will be treated to displays depicting the highlights of the Queen’s reign including the Commonwealth, her Coronation, Balmoral, Royal Ascot and many more.

St Bartholomew’s regularly stages festivals which always receive great acclaim. Themed music will accompany the displays and refreshments will be served at the church during festival opening times.
