MORE than 150 people attended a delicious hog roast celebration event at Clitheroe accident repair centre James Alpe.
Among thosse attending were Ribble Valley MP Nigel Evans and local Olympic hopeful pentathlete Samantha Murray, who is sponsored by Alpes through the loan of a car to help fulfil her tough training schedule.
The hog roast event was a double celebration to acknowledge the company’s recent success in winning the prestigious “Bodyshop of the Year” industry award, and also for recently being nominated approved repairers for the Jaguar Land Rover brand.
“We wanted to thank all our staff, customers, work providers, suppliers, and business associates in one big event and throwing a hog roast seemed the most natural thing to do, seeing that we make the hog roast machines here in our workshops!” said managing director James Alpe.
He added how flattered he was that many people had travelled from all over the UK to attend the Friday afternoon event, which demonstrated the great relationships that James Alpe Ltd – a diverse organisation encompassing several businesses – has with its many associates.
Hog roast is often on the menu at Alpes, particularly when its “Spitting Pig” division is testing new designs of machine.
“Not all our customers know that we make these machines in addition to repairing and converting vehicles, so we saw this as a great opportunity to throw a big celebration and involve everyone who we wanted to thank,” said James.
